Let's begin

For every journey, there must be a beginning! At least I'm sure someone said that at some point...

Photo editing, some love it, some hate it and some never use it once. For those that have never needed to edit a photo for any reason, count yourselves lucky! For these kinds of programs, the options are endless and most of them REALLY SUCK! If it isn't the "I found this one program online and it only took me 8 different menus to resize a photo.", then it's "I HAVE TO PAY HOW MUCH TO CROP THIS IMAGE?!?".

🤬🔥🤬🔥🤬🔥🤬🔥🤬🔥🤬

I recently needed to crop and resize an image for this blog, while on my Macbook Pro. Shouldn't be too hard to do, just load up a photo editor..... wait. I don't have one installed, crap. Onward! To the internet!

Now I can be a bit stubborn about thing at times (ask anyone that knows me), but I just didn't want to install a whole ass program on my laptop for a few seconds worth of work. Am I running out of hard drive space, you may ask? Nope, plenty of that (its an SSD and not a hard drive, but I digress). Do you not know how? Nope, can install programs a few different ways (again, being difficult).

What did I finally do to solve this first world problem of mine? Easy, I just used the sponsor of this po.... wait one minute there! What do I look like, some fancy Youtuber with all the subscribers? Nah, I'm just me.

Anyways... back to business.

(Just to let anyone who cares to know, I'm not being sponsored for this post. No money or goods are being exchanged for the words being written and no one is reviewing them before they are posted.)

PHOTOPEA

Never heard of it? Not surprising one bit. I nearly forgot about this one myself.

Photopea, the online photo editing program. Think of it as a lesser version of Photoshop that runs inside your browser. This was exactly what I needed! The price was right, it was stable and I was able to get in and get out. Done.

A couple of things. It can run on nearly any device that has a web browser, like a computer or phone/tablet. Though, how well you can work with the program on a touchscreen, remains to be seen. Also, Photopea is free with ads or you can pay a small fee for more features and such. (I removed the ad for the picture, not gonna give free promotion to some random company.)

If you would like to try it out for yourself, head over to their website.
